Operation Serval, Mali 2013 - the Legion Paratroopers jumps on Timbuktu
January 28, 2013: Supported by several hunting patrols and helicopters of the airmobile group (GAM) and surveillance equipment (ATL 2, drone), the Serval force simultaneously seized the Timbuktu airport with the GTIA 21eRIMa and the northern edge of the city by the paratroopers of the 2nd Foreign Parachute Regiment (2eREP).
