It was in the company of his Russian colleague Oleg Novotski that Thomas Pesquet returned to Earth, this Friday, June 2, 2017, after having spent six months in orbit, at an altitude of 400 km and at 27,000 km/h aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Six months admiring, studying, photographing and filming our planet. To share his enthusiasm on Facebook (1.4 million friends), Twitter (551,000 followers) and Instagram (377,000 subscribers). To exchange with pupils and students, to indulge in the unique scientific experiments of the PROXIMA Mission.

The operation, delicate and brutal at the same time, took approximately 3.5 hours, before the Soyuz landed at 4:10 p.m. (French time) not far from Zhezqazghan, in the steppes of Kazakhstan.
