Franco-German Brigade
Peacekeeping Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina 1997
The Franco-German Brigade is an integral part of the European Corps. It is particularly well-suited for humanitarian and peacekeeping missions.
Based in Mülheim, Germany, it comprises German and French units. It has 5,000 personnel and is equipped with, among other things, 36 wheeled tanks and 164 armored personnel carriers.
Since 1997, it has participated in a peacekeeping mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, integrated with the Salamander Division into SFOR (NATO Stabilization Force).
