In 1956, the postal administrations of the six member countries of the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC) decided to jointly issue "EUROPA" postage stamps to commemorate the process of European integration. These stamps featured the same design: a tower under construction, formed by the letters "EUROPA," surrounded by scaffolding.
This joint issue was known as "EUROPA CEPT" (European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations) from 1960 to 1992, and then as EUROPA (PostEurop) from 1993 onwards.
We offer you the early years of the "EUROPA CEPT" series through a selection of the finest official First Day Covers from the member countries. This limited-time offer allows you to acquire these collections at significantly reduced prices.
