La Finlande, pays le plus au nord de la «Zone Euro», a émis le 1er janvier 2002 un timbre adhésif à 1,00 Euro «Lion sur fond bleu» qui symbolise l'entrée de la Finlande dans l'ère «Euro». Une superbe «carte officielle sur lettre» décorée d'un cygne, symbole de ce pays, a été réalisée. Elle est affranchie du dernier timbre «drapeau national» en Marks Finlandais, oblitéré Helsinki 31.12.2001 (fin de l'ère du Mark) et du premier timbre «Lion» en Euro, oblitéré du 1er janvier 2002 (début de l'ère «Euro).
