1st landing of an Airbus A380 on La Reunion Island (France)

The Airbus A380 F-WWDD (Prototype 004) landed for the first time on Reunion Island on November 11, 2009, to test the compatibility of the airport facilities at Roland-Garros airport. The Air Austral company has placed an order for two aircraft which will be assigned to the long-haul between Reunion and mainland France, in single class capable of carrying 840 passengers.
