British aerobatic patrol “The Blue Eagles” on Sioux A H Mk1 helicopters

“The Blue Eagles” is a helicopter acrobatic patrol formed in 1968 by British Army Air Corps instructors from Middle Wallop who trained in their spare time. Originally operating on 5 Sioux helicopters, this squadron is made up entirely of volunteer pilots and has won numerous awards despite the lack of “official” training. The “Blue Eagles” were reformed under the name “Silver Eagles” in 1982 for the 25th anniversary of the Army Air Corps.
