American acrobatic patrol “The Barnstormers” on Tiger Moth II
The story of the Barnstormers is a story of human courage and risk-taking. It all began in the 1920s when the American government found itself with a surplus of light aircraft for which it had no use and which it handed over to civilians, most of them former aviators. These more maneuverable planes radically changed the entertainment industry and former pilots, accustomed to taking walks in the air for the general public, began to perform acrobatic feats. These waterfalls, with legendary names such as “Balloon Burst”, “Aerial Omelette”, etc., featured in the spectacular performances of “Flying Circus”.
