First passenger test flight of the Airbus A380
September 4, 2006: Airbus A380 MSN 002 took off from Toulouse-Blagnac International Airport (France) at 09:58 local time, with 474 passengers on board, for the first in a series of four “Early Long Flights” (endurance tests of cabin systems). During these flights, passengers, comprised of cabin experts and Airbus staff, will test the operation and comfort of the cabin.
A unique event in the European aeronautical epic which gave rise to the issue of a series of three personalized stamps and a special cover.
