The airline Qatar Airways deployed its Airbus A380 for the first time between Doha and Paris, the superjumbo's second destination after London and pending Bangkok in December 2014.

The Qatari national airline operates its A380 every day on the second of three daily flights between Doha-Hamad International airport and Paris-CDG: it takes off at 7:55 a.m. to arrive in France at 1:10 p.m., and leaves at 3:00 p.m. to land at 11:25 p.m. (average flight time 6h45).

Qatar Airways also indicates that the first rotation of the day, currently carried out in an A340-600, will welcome the superjumbo from January 5, 2015. The last rotation remains displayed in an A340-600. Configured to accommodate 8 passengers in First, 48 in Business class and 461 in Economy class (517 in total), the Qatar Airways A380 has no direct competition on this route, with Paris also being served by its major rivals Emirates Airlines and Etihad Airways , plus Air France in Dubai, Gulf Air (Manama), Kuwait Airways (Kuwait) and Oman Air (Muscat).
A collection of personalized postage stamps, gummed stickers and limited edition aerophilatelic covers bearing flight stamps, was produced especially for this “A380 Paris - Doha inaugural flight” of Qatar Airways.
