"- December 13, 2016 : Award Ceremony of the SAKHAROV 2016 Prize 'For Freedom of the Spirit' to Nadia Mourad Bassi Taha and Lamiya Aji Bachar. These two young Iraqi Yezidi survived the sexual slavery to which the Islamic State had subjected them. They have become the symbol of women victims of violence on the part of this organization as well as the spokespersons of their community.
